Today’s blog looks at the Rapid Rehousing Transition Plan (RRTP), which sets out the homeless strategy within the city of Edinburgh. It is written by RRTP Lead Officer, Jill Thomson, from Homelessness & Housing Support, City of Edinburgh Council.

The RRTP was agreed at Committee on 18th September 2020 and sets out a number of actions relating to prevention, in particular, early intervention. A direct action of the RRTP was the establishment of a Homeless Prevention Working Group, which cuts across Council departments and third sector organisations. Read the full piece here; it sets out prevention activities underway, and the teams focussing on specific areas of concern. These have all grown out of the RRTP.
