At our previous Network of Networks meeting, we focussed on issues parents face when trying to improve their household income, either through gaining employment or increasing their hours and wages. We heard from academics and providers about what has worked well and we also looked at how services could be shaped in the future to benefit parents in employment. Our speakers included:
- Kate Kelman, Deputy Chief Executive, Capital City Partnership
- Jen Remnant, Chancellor’s Fellow at the Scottish Centre for Employment Research at Strathclyde Business School
- Pauline Nicol-Bowie, Founder and Director of LIFT (Low Income Families Together)
- Sarah Rensburg, Family Wellbeing Worker Children 1st and Tony Anderson, Senior Employability Development Worker CHAI
